Annica Caldeborg is a Lecturer at the Department of Health Sciences, Örebro University, since 2021. She holds a doctoral degree from Örebro University (2021) and a secondary school teaching degree in Physical Education and Health from Gothenburg University. With 18 years of experience in upper secondary schools, her research focuses on physical contact in educational settings, heteronormativity, and immigrant students' experiences. She is involved in the Swedish Research Council-funded project 'Educational clash or educational potential? School aged newly arrived pupils' encounters with Swedish health education'.

Research Interests: Explores physical contact pedagogies, intersection of gender norms and education, and immigrant students' integration in health education. Her work critiques traditional didactic frameworks and advocates for inclusive teaching practices.

Teaching: Leads courses in the Teacher Education Program (Physical Education specialization) and contributes to Coaching, Sports Management, and Preschool Education programs.
