معرفی
Marianne Aznar is Professor of Radiation Oncology Physics at the University of Manchester and The Christie Hospital, with joint appointment as Associate Professor at University of Oxford. Her research focuses on radiation therapy optimization, proton therapy, and genomic instability in cancer.
Research interests include: developing advanced imaging techniques for radiotherapy; minimizing treatment toxicities; pediatric radiation oncology; and mechanistic studies of chromosome segregation. She leads studies on centromere function and DNA replication stress in genome instability.
Her recent publications concentrate on: 1) Technical innovations in proton therapy delivery 2) Toxicity mitigation strategies 3) Adaptive radiotherapy techniques. Article trends show strong emphasis on clinical translation of physics innovations.
Awards and Honors:
- Researcher of the Year, Rigshospitalet (2015)
- JR Cunningham Award (2001)
- Journal of Nuclear Medicine First Place Award (2000)
She mentors PhD candidates and leads multiple international collaborations through ESTRO and ILROG. Current projects include developing AI-based contouring models and UK proton therapy referral frameworks.
