Professor Mariann Hardey is a Professor in the Business School at Durham University and an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Study. She specializes in accessibility and equity in technology, with a focus on digital culture, social network analysis, and the impact of AI on education. Her research explores topics such as women in tech leadership, disinformation dynamics, and wearable technology.
Education: PhD in Sociology and Master's in Women's Studies from the University of York (with a prestigious 1+3 ESCR scholarship). Her career included a hiatus in 2016 to focus on family.
