Professor Dr. Habil Mariana Bouleva-Petrova is a faculty member at the Department of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. Her research focuses on music theory, harmony, and pedagogy.
- Research Interests: Music theory, harmony, polyphony, music semiotics, music psychology, aesthetics, philosophy of music, music arranging, and music education.
- Projects: Principal investigator in the project "Theological and Philosophical Ideas in the Byzantine and Balkan Cultural Space (7-12th c.)."
Key Publications include studies on Scriabin's piano sonatas, Byzantine musical systems, and the evolution of Bulgarian music education. She has authored textbooks on harmony and written extensively on 20th-century Bulgarian composers.
