Simeon Antonov is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Old and Medieval History, Faculty of History, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. His research focuses on the political, social, and cultural history of the Byzantine Empire (1025–1081), Byzantine historiography, prosopography, and sigillography.
He participates in international academic projects such as the 2024 International Summer Seminar in Bulgarian Language and Culture and the 2018 International Symposium on "Tarnovo Literary School". His recent publications analyze Byzantine military structures, aristocratic families, and Bulgarian-Byzantine interactions.
