Mariame Diabate is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University, affiliated with the Stanford Cancer Institute and the Departments of Health Policy/Epidemiology and Population Health, and Pediatrics (by courtesy). Mentored by Dr. Alyce Adams and Dr. Tainayah Thomas, she researches cancer genetics and health disparities.
Her work integrates bioinformatics with community perspectives to address cancer treatment disparities affecting minority women, particularly in breast and ovarian cancers. She applies AI technology to improve treatment decisions and explores genetic, social, and policy factors influencing health outcomes.
As co-president of Stanford's Black Postdoctoral Association, she advocates for equitable healthcare. Previous roles include serving on Ohio's New African Immigrant Commission and interning at UNAIDS in Geneva.
