Her interdisciplinary work evaluates the impact of drug coverage policy changes on medication access, investigates drivers of treatment adherence disparities among insured populations, and develops strategies to maximize treatment benefits while minimizing harms through informed decision-making. Her methodology spans health services research, epidemiological studies, cost-effectiveness analyses, and community-engaged research approaches.
Analysis of Dr. Adams' recent publications reveals a strong emphasis on health equity across multiple disease areas including diabetes, kidney disease, pancreatic disorders, and cancer. Her work consistently examines racial and ethnic disparities, with particular attention to Black/African American communities. Methodologically, her research combines large-scale observational studies, cost-effectiveness modeling, and community-engaged approaches to address systemic healthcare barriers.
