Dr. Mariam Kayle is an Associate Professor at the Duke University School of Nursing, where she leads a robust program of research focused on improving health outcomes for individuals with sickle cell disease (SCD) and other childhood-onset chronic conditions. She co-directs the North Carolina Sickle Cell Data Collection Program, a state-level surveillance initiative supported by the CDC, and holds multiple roles in public health, nursing education, and policy research.
