Maria del Rosario Rodil Rodriguez

Maria del Rosario Rodil Rodriguez is a Professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). She leads the ChromChem Chromatography and Chemometrics research group and is affiliated with the Institute for Research on the Aquatic Environment for Global Health (iARCUS).

Her research integrates analytical chemistry and environmental science to address organic pollutant exposure under the One Health framework. Key methodologies include high-throughput analytical development, aquatic contaminant distribution studies, bioaccessible fraction estimation, transformation product identification in water treatments, and biomonitoring via urine analysis and wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE). This interdisciplinary work bridges environmental monitoring and public health assessment.
