Maria del Mar Vanrell Bosch

Maria del Mar Vanrell Bosch is a Professor of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where she also serves as deputy director of the Catalan Philology Educational Research and Innovation Institute. She teaches across multiple programs including the Bachelor's Degree in Catalan Language and Literature and the Master's Degree in Linguistic and Literary Competence.

Her research focuses on Catalan linguistics with emphasis on sociolinguistic aspects of the Balearic Islands. As director of GRESIB (Research Group on Sociolinguistics in the Balearic Islands), she leads investigations into regional language variation and usage patterns.
