Maria Ukhanova

Maria Ukhanova, MD PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Policy & Community Health at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the epidemiology of multimorbidity clusters and polypharmacy among adults with chronic conditions, leveraging real-world data to improve healthcare quality and patient safety. She has expertise in statistical analysis and electronic health record (EHR) data research, particularly in studying inappropriate prescribing practices in stroke patients and GLP-1 medication trends in obese and non-obese populations.
