Kathryn Nicholson, PhD, is an Adjunct Research Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, affiliated with the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics. She contributes to research clusters focused on Aging & Life-Course Epidemiology and Chronic Disease & Multimorbidity (as Co-leader).
Education:
- BHSc (Honors), MSc (Epidemiology), PhD (Epidemiology) from Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University
Her research explores multimorbidity, polypharmacy, patient-centered care, and electronic medical records. She develops computational tools for clustering multimorbidity patterns and advancing research through longitudinal analyses.
Selected Contributions: She co-created the Multimorbidity Cluster Analysis Toolkit, designed methods for documenting chronic conditions in primary care, and investigated digital communication trends between patients and providers.
Collaborations: She works with the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario, focusing on quality improvement and information management.
