Maria Theodorakakis is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology department at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Boston College. She also serves as Associate Program Director for the School Counseling, M.A. program. Dr. Theodorakakis holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. from Boston College.

Her research focuses on addressing systemic inequality through holistic youth support systems, particularly examining non-academic factors affecting learning. Clinically, she works with youth managing chronic medical conditions at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Notable publications include studies on integrated student support during the pandemic, mentorship programs for children with food allergies, and teacher perceptions of comprehensive student support systems.
