Maria Teresa Rains

Maria Teresa Rains is an Adjunct Instructor of Italian at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, affiliated with the Department of Languages, Cultures and Translation. She has taught Italian at various levels for 18 years and serves as co-advisor to the Italian Club. Her educational background includes a Master of Science from Central Michigan University (1992) and legal studies from the Law School of Milan, Italy (1989).

Her research interests focus on Italian language education, cultural studies, and pedagogical approaches to second-language acquisition. She has been recognized for her contributions, including a nomination for International Women’s Day by the Office of International Programs.
