Maria Soledad Mora Giral

Maria Soledad Mora Giral is a Professor in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Her research focuses on eating disorders, risk factors, body image dissatisfaction, and prevention programs targeting adolescents and university students. She has led multiple national research projects funded by agencies like the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN).

She holds a Ph.D. (1995) and Licenciatura (1988) from UAB and UB, respectively. Her work addresses the bidirectional relationships between disordered eating behaviors, self-esteem, and societal beauty ideals.
