Maria Raciti

Professor Maria Raciti (Kalkadoon-Thaniquith-Bwgcolman) is Co-Director of the Indigenous and Transcultural Research Centre at the University of the Sunshine Coast. As a social marketer, she applies marketing principles to address social justice issues and behavior change, particularly in Indigenous education and health equity. Her work advances UN Sustainable Development Goals and Australia's Closing the Gap targets through projects funded by NHMRC, Movember Foundation, and ARC.

Raciti leads research on rheumatic heart disease prevention, Indigenous male wellbeing, and educational equity. She holds honorary positions at University of Queensland and Curtin University and serves on boards of the International Social Marketing Association and Australian Association of Social Marketing. Her methodologies integrate strengths-based approaches to empower vulnerable communities.
