Professor Maria Manuel (Manucha) Lisboa holds the Professorship of Portuguese Literature and Culture at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics and St John’s College.
- Research spans Portuguese, Brazilian, and Mozambican literature (19th century–present), visual arts, and interdisciplinary themes like gender, religion, and national identity
