Dr. Maria Kakarika is a Professor of Organizational Behaviour & Leadership at Durham University Business School. She holds a PhD from IE Business School, an MSc from LSE, and a BSc from Aristotle University. Her research focuses on leadership identity, gender dynamics, and crisis management, with notable work on sexualization spillover effects and workplace gossip. She has consulted for executives and start-ups, and serves as an Associate Editor at Group & Organization Management and Director of the Durham DBA program.
