She holds a PhD in Policy Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University, a Master of Public Administration from the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY Albany, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Prior to academia, she spent 11 years in federal and provincial government roles, including Senior Policy Advisor and Immigration Officer. Her research focuses on three core areas: the future of work in public service (SSHRC-funded), user-centered policy design in child welfare (SSHRC Partnership Grant), and social media use in public administration (BIRMAC Grant).
Her teaching includes courses on digital governance, public sector management, and contemporary politics. Key research outputs include studies on hybrid work arrangements, anti-racism in public policy, and coordinated service delivery models in child welfare. Collaborations with government agencies like the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services highlight her applied policy focus. She has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and conference papers, emphasizing digital transformation, public servant perspectives, and equitable policy design.
Grants include SSHRC Insight Development ($74,978) and McMaster Arts Research Board support for her future of work project. Her work consistently bridges academic research with practical policy solutions, particularly in marginalized communities and digital governance contexts.
