Maria Enea

Maria Enea is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), working within the Alfaro-Moreno Research Group.

Her academic qualifications:

• Pharmaceutical Sciences degree from "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Romania
• PhD in Sustainable Chemistry from the University of Porto

Maria's research spans nanotechnology and biomedical engineering, with a focus on nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, and safety evaluation. She develops nanobiosensors for disease diagnosis and investigates the toxicological profiles of metallic nanoparticles through in vitro and in vivo studies. Her interdisciplinary work bridges chemistry, materials science, and biomedical applications.

As a member of the Alfaro-Moreno Research Group, she contributes to advancing nanotechnology solutions for healthcare challenges.
