Maria Dede is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Loughborough University. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Exeter (2021) and an MLitt in International Political Theory from the University of St Andrews (2014). Prior to her academic roles, she worked in the NGO sector in Greece and served as a postdoctoral research associate on the Horizon2020-funded project 'Differentiation: clustering excellence - DiCE' (2021–2022).

Her postdoctoral research on the DiCE project highlighted clustering excellence within European integration frameworks.
