Maria David

Maria David is a Researcher in the Department of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies at the Institute for Isotopic and Molecular Technologies (ITIM), Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and a current PhD candidate in the Doctoral School of Physics at Babeș-Bolyai University since 2023.

Education:

• BSc in Biochemical Engineering (2021) from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Babeș-Bolyai University.
• MSc in Advanced Chemistry (2023) from Babeș-Bolyai University.

Research Interests:

Her work focuses on developing food and beverage authentication models using isotopic, elemental, and molecular fingerprinting techniques. She applies vibrational spectroscopy (IR, UV-Vis) with advanced statistical tools, conducts elemental profiling via FAAS and ICP-MS, and characterizes organic/organometallic compounds through NMR, IR, UV-Vis, and mass spectrometry. Key domains include food science, analytical chemistry, and biotechnology with emphasis on spectroscopic and mass spectrometry methodologies.
