David Maria

David Maria is a PhD student and Scientific Research Assistant at Babeș-Bolyai University, affiliated with the Physics Doctoral School and the Isotopic and Molecular Technologies department. His work focuses on developing classification models for food and beverage authentication using advanced analytical techniques.

• BSc in Biochemical Engineering (2021)
• MSc in Advanced Chemistry (2023)
• PhD in Physics (2023–present)

His research integrates elemental, isotopic, and molecular fingerprinting with vibrational techniques (NMR, IR, UV-Vis) and mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to authenticate organic compounds. He collaborates with the Isotopic, Elemental and Molecular Fingerprinting team.
