Mari-Liis Tikerperi is a Lecturer in Research Basics at the University of Tartu's Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Social Studies. She holds a MA in School Leadership and has been affiliated with the institute since 2018, holding full-time positions since June 2021. Additionally, she works part-time at the Estonian Military Academy.
Her research focuses on communication and information sciences within culture and society, particularly in education contexts. She explores topics like crisis communication in schools and the challenges of institutional messaging during emergencies.
Her article in ERR (2020) discusses the need for clearer communication strategies in Estonian schools during the pandemic, highlighting vulnerabilities in messaging systems and proposing systemic improvements.
Ms. Tikerperi has held coordination roles within the Institute of Social Studies and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree examining school communication management in mediatized societies, supervised by Andra Siibak.
