Margit Sutrop

Margit Sutrop is a Professor of Practical Philosophy at the University of Tartu since 2000 and a Kone Research Fellow at the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, University of Helsinki, since January 2020. Her academic career spans roles as a researcher and lecturer in philosophy at institutions including the University of Konstanz and the University of Tartu.

Research Interests: Her scholarship focuses on ethics of new technologies, bioethics, AI ethics, and research ethics, alongside moral/political philosophy, philosophy of language, mind, education, aesthetics, and literary theory.
