Margie Moczygemba, PhD is an Associate Professor at the Texas A&M University School of Engineering Medicine, serving as Director of the HT Flow Cytometry Analysis & Cell Sorting Core Facility and Advisor to the Dean for Internal Affairs. Her research focuses on cytokine signaling and eosinophil biology in allergic inflammation, with a specific emphasis on IL-5 receptor regulation through ubiquitination and JAK kinase interactions.
- B.S. Biology, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1989)
- M.S. Biology, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1992)
- Ph.D., Molecular Immunology and Pathology, SUNY Stony Brook (1997)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship, Baylor College of Medicine (1997-2002)
Her recent publications highlight mechanistic studies on cytokine receptor dynamics, particularly the role of lysine residues in JAK binding and proteasome-mediated degradation. Collaborative work with MD Anderson Cancer Center explores TLR ligand-based immunomodulation in asthma models.
