London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)معرفی
Margaux Suteau is an LSE Fellow in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research focuses on the intersection of gender, education, and labor economics through public policy evaluation to address gender disparities in education and labor markets.
Her educational background includes:
- PhD in Economics from ESSEC Business School and CY Cergy Paris Université, supervised by Stefania Marcassa and Olivier Donni
Suteau's research examines how policy interventions affect gender outcomes. She has investigated the impact of inheritance law reforms in India on women's education, labor participation, and marriage outcomes. Her current project analyzes women's underrepresentation in STEM fields, particularly examining how access to equipment in gender-neutral environments influences participation. Her methodological approach centers on applied microeconometrics and causal inference techniques to evaluate policy effectiveness.
As an active member of the Women in Social and Public Policy Research Hub (WISPPRH), Suteau co-organizes significant academic events including the upcoming 'Gender Inequality: Navigating New Frontiers and Paradigm Shifts' workshop in March 2025. This international collaboration with Bocconi University and NYU Abu Dhabi examines how technological advances, climate change, and evolving social structures impact gender equality.
Suteau maintains professional connections through Twitter (@MargauxSuteau) and Bluesky, and is preparing for the 2025-2026 economics job market while continuing her research on gender inequality. She regularly participates in panel discussions on workplace gender issues, including the March 2025 'Women and Work' event at LSE where she addressed topics like sexual harassment and the motherhood penalty.
