Margarita Portnykh is a Professor of Economics at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a PhD from Clemson University (2008-2014), an M.S. in Mathematics from Voronezh State University (2005-2007), and completed postdoctoral fellowships at CMU's Heinz College (2016-2018) and the University of California, Santa Barbara (2014-2016). Her research focuses on Applied Microeconomics with emphases on Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Health Economics, and Finance.
