Marek Ignaszak is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt, affiliated with the Department of Money and Macroeconomics and the Frankfurt Quantitative Macro Group. His research focuses on economic growth, labor markets, computational methods, and the interplay between firm behavior, innovation, and income inequality.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Economics, University of Bonn (summa cum laude, 2014–2020)
- B.S. and M.S. in Quantitative Methods, Warsaw School of Economics (2008–2014)
Research Interests:
Marek investigates economic growth, labor markets, computational methods, firm behavior, and income inequality. His work often explores the impact of demographic and technological trends on macroeconomic institutions and corporate sectors.
Teaching and Industry Experience:
He teaches Economics of Labor Markets (undergraduate) and serves as a teaching assistant for graduate-level courses like Labor Markets and the Macroeconomy at Goethe. Previously, he was a Research Economist at mBank SA (2013–2014) and contributed to economic debates in Polish media, including the Panel Ekonomistów Rzeczpospolitej.
