Professor Marcus Moberg is a leading scholar in the Study of Religions at Åbo Akademi University, serving as Co-Director of the Centre of Excellence “Religion and Social Exclusion” (RelEx). His research focuses on the sociology of religion, discursive methodologies, religion’s intersection with media/popular culture, and young adult religiosity. Active in projects like RelEx (2024-2028) and CCMM (2021-2026), he explores religion’s role in social exclusion, digital media, and marketization.
