Marco Tigano, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology & Genomic Medicine at the College of Life Sciences. He leads a research laboratory investigating mitochondrial-nuclear genome coordination and retrograde signaling pathways that maintain cellular homeostasis. His work focuses on how mitochondrial dysfunction contributes to human diseases through energy disruption, inflammation, and tissue degeneration.
