Marco Sanfilippo serves as Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Turin, with additional affiliations as an Affiliate at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, Associate Research Fellow in Globalisation and Development at the Institute of Development Policy (University of Antwerp), and Programme Associate/Visiting Researcher with the Global Governance Programme at the European University Institute.
His research centers on economic development and global economics, specifically investigating drivers of private sector development in low-income countries through rigorous analysis of firm and individual-level data. This work bridges theoretical economic frameworks with practical policy applications in developing economies.
