Marco Essig, MD, PhD, FRCP[C], is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on integrating functional imaging techniques into clinical workflows for neurologic disorders and oncology.
- Education: PhD in Neurological Sciences (1994) and MD (1994) from the University of Heidelberg Medical School
- Research Affiliations: Associate Scientist at CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute; member of Northern Concussion Network and NeuroOncology Research Group
- Research Themes: Neuroimaging, oncologic imaging, MR spectroscopy, stroke imaging, traumatic brain injury, and multiple sclerosis
