Jerrold L Boxerman

Jerrold L. Boxerman is a Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at Brown University's Alpert Medical School and holds leadership roles at Rhode Island Hospital, including Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs, Director of Diagnostic Neuroradiology, and Medical Director of the Brain Science Program MRI Facility. He specializes in MRI and Neuroradiology, with a focus on brain tumor characterization and treatment response assessment using perfusion-weighted MRI.

Research Interests span Neurooncology, Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast (DSC) MRI, Relative Cerebral Blood Volume (rCBV) quantification, and Imaging Biomarkers for Brain Tumors. His work has operationalized RANO Criteria for glioma assessment and optimized MRI protocols for clinical trials.

Recent Publications highlight advancements in synthetic DSC MRI, machine learning for tumor burden mapping, and neuroimaging markers of brain reserve. Collaborations extend to departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Radiation Oncology.
