Marco Cogoni

Marco Cogoni is a Researcher at the Center for Research, Development and Advanced Studies in Sardinia (CRS4), where he works in the Distributed Computing Group. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cagliari (2003) and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Cagliari, University of Milan Bicocca, and CNRS LML Lille.

His research spans:

• Computational physics (spin glasses, semiconductor defects)
• Renewable energy systems (concentrated solar power)
• Materials science (proton diffusion in polymers, reactive water potentials)
• Data-intensive computing (optimization, big data analytics)

He coordinates the EMINET project and contributes to H2UB, TDM, and XDATA initiatives. His 2025 publication explores network routing behaviors using game-theoretic approaches.
