Marco Catarci

Marco Catarci serves as Deputy Rector of Roma Tre University since November 2022, responsible for relations with schools, third sector organizations, and public/private bodies. He is a Full Professor in the scientific-disciplinary sector M-PED/01 (social and general pedagogy) and teaches Social and Intercultural Pedagogy, while heading the postgraduate course "Hosting and inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers".

His research centers on social and intercultural pedagogy, intercultural mediation, and social inclusion frameworks for migrants and refugees. He has directed national and international research projects in these domains, achieving peer-reviewed assessments, with publications archived in Roma Tre University's research repository.

Professor Catarci has served as principal investigator for multiple research initiatives addressing migration and inclusion policies, contributing to academic discourse through monographs, essays, and articles. His leadership extends to governance roles including the University's Board of Trustees (2019-2022) and membership in the National University Council's Area 11 committee.
