Marco Accorinti serves as Full Professor of General Sociology (SPS/07) in the Department of Educational Sciences at Roma Tre University, with supplementary affiliation to the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano as indicated by dual institutional email addresses. He currently coordinates the Teaching Staff for the PhD Course in Educational and Social Theory and Research, maintaining active roles in academic leadership and policy-oriented scholarship.
His research program critically examines social policy frameworks through focused investigations of welfare systems, third-sector organizational dynamics, and migration impacts, with specialized attention to elderly care and disability inclusion. As an evaluator and trainer, he bridges theoretical sociology with practical social service implementation, particularly in welfare system assessments and third-sector capacity building. His methodological approach emphasizes real-world applicability in social planning and policy evaluation contexts.
Prior to his current position, Professor Accorinti directed the "Evaluation, Training, Social Policies" research area and held Senior Researcher status at the CNR Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS) in Rome, establishing his expertise in evidence-based social intervention design. His career trajectory demonstrates sustained engagement with evolving welfare state challenges and civil society organization development across Italian and European contexts.
