معرفی
Marcin Bukowski is a Professor at Jagiellonian University’s Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Social Psychology. His work focuses on motivated social cognition, intergroup relations, and psychology of control, examining how personal control deprivation shapes responses to social threats, stereotyping, and tolerance.
He leads major projects including "Actively coping with uncontrollability: Investing cognitive effort as a strategy for rebuilding personal control" (National Science Centre, 2022-2026) and "Inclusivity Norms to Counter Polarization in European Societies" (Volkswagen Foundation, 2021-2026). His research integrates cognitive flexibility, prejudice reduction, and normative influence in polarized contexts.
Recent publications analyze abortion policies, gender stereotypes, and environmental activism as responses to control threats. His work spans experimental designs, cross-cultural comparisons, and policy-oriented studies. Articles emphasize social norms, bilingualism effects, and executive control mechanisms.
