Marcia Pescador Jimenez is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Boston University’s School of Public Health and Affiliated Faculty at the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS). Her research focuses on spatial epidemiology, health disparities, and the intersection of environmental factors with cognitive aging. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from Brown University and has completed postdoctoral training at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Research Interests: Dr. Jimenez investigates geographic contextual factors influencing cognitive decline and dementia, particularly leveraging deep learning algorithms and urban environment metrics. Her work includes mediation analysis of greenspace exposure on hypertension and Alzheimer’s risk, with a focus on racial/ethnic disparities. She collaborates with major cohort studies such as the New England Family Study, Project Viva, and the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis.
