Marcelo Ortiz is an Assistant Professor of Financial Accounting at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain, holding a tenure-track position. He is affiliated with both the Barcelona School of Economics and the Barcelona School of Management, and received his PhD from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez. His research program focuses on critical intersections between accounting practices and corporate governance structures.

- Corporate Ownership structures, particularly in family-controlled businesses
