Marcelo Chacur Politano is a Brazilian composer, saxophonist, and flutist currently serving as a Lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) in the Department of Traditional and Folk Music. He is also a doctoral candidate at EAMT and the Sibelius Academy's DocMus program. Politano specializes in the study and performance of traditional music from Brazil and Latin America, with a focus on fostering dialogue between musical traditions. His expertise extends to playing various traditional flutes, blending cultural heritage with contemporary composition.
