PhDr. Marcela Sedláčková is a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, specializing in contemporary French philosophy and phenomenology. Her work focuses on the interplay between German phenomenology and French philosophical developments in the late 1920s–1930s.

Her research spans the influence of German phenomenology on French thought, including annotated translations and critical analyses of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Emmanuel Lévinas. She has organized seminars and lectures through the Paris Association Jan Hus and collaborated with institutions like CNRS and École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales.
Her publications and translations, such as Merleau-Ponty's Phenomenology of Perception, reflect her expertise in phenomenology, ethics, and philosophical interpretation. She has contributed to edited volumes and presented at international colloquia, including the Sorbonne.
