Marcel Bouvrie is a Lecturer in Musicology at the Department of Media and Culture Studies, School of Humanities, Utrecht University. He is affiliated with the Institute for Cultural Research and specializes in Media and Performance Studies.
His research interests include
- Musicological methodologies
- Interdisciplinary approaches to media and performance
- Cultural analysis of musical practices
- Digital humanities in music research
He teaches the Research Seminar in Musicology: Techniques and Methods of Musicological Research and is based at Muntstraat 2-2a, Utrecht, The Netherlands.
