Marcea Walter

Marcea Walter is an Assistant Professor at Saint Louis University's College for Public Health and Social Justice, where she plays a key leadership role in the Master of Health Administration (M.H.A.) program as Director of Accreditation and Director of Admissions. She is actively engaged in teaching courses such as Medical Practice Management, Management of Health Care Organizations, and Business Sectors of Healthcare.

Her research focuses on improving rural healthcare access, enhancing performance in healthcare organizations, and advancing leadership development in health administration. She integrates social determinants of health into curricula and emphasizes leadership competencies for future healthcare managers.

Her recent scholarly work spans health education, HPV prevention, healthcare operations, and leadership perception gaps. These publications reflect a strong commitment to evidence-based management and public health education, primarily published in The Health Care Manager and presented at national conferences like AUPHA.

She serves on the board of the Mid-America Healthcare Executives Forum, a local chapter of ACHE, contributing to regional leadership development and policy dialogue. Her work bridges academia and practice, influencing both education and operational excellence in healthcare.

She teaches in the M.H.A. program and contributes to accreditation and admissions, ensuring program quality and student success. Her research agenda includes ongoing exploration of leadership training, rural health disparities, and preventive health education.
