Marc Oxenham is an Honorary Professor at the University of Aberdeen's School of Archaeology and an Emeritus Professor at The Australian National University's School of Archaeology and Anthropology. He holds a PhD from Charles Darwin University (2001) and has held positions at Colorado College and ANU. His research focuses on bioarchaeology, forensic anthropology, and human adaptation in Southeast Asia. He leads the Centre of Osteoarchaeology in the North Atlantic (CONA) and has received prestigious awards like the Silver Commendation from the Australian Army for his work recovering war casualties.
