Marc Moore is a Professor of Law and Chair in Corporate/Financial Law at the University College London (UCL) Faculty of Laws, appointed in 2019. He holds a Global Distinguished Professor role at the Notre Dame London Law Programme. Previously, he served as Reader in Corporate Law and MCL Director at the University of Cambridge (2009–2014) and taught at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on corporate governance, financial regulation, and legal theory, reflected in his authored books Corporate Governance in the Shadow of the State (2013) and co-authored Corporate Governance: Law, Regulation and Theory (2017). He has held visiting roles at the University of Auckland and Seattle University.
Moore is Deputy Chief Examiner for Company Law in the University of London’s external LL.B. programme and advises the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Court in Kazakhstan. He co-edits Hart Publishing’s Contemporary Studies in Corporate Law series and Palgrave’s Corporate and Financial Law textbook series. His work has been recognized with the Philip Leverhulme Prize (2012) for outstanding contributions to legal scholarship.
