John Linarelli is the Vice Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. His research focuses on commercial and financial law, international trade law, and the intersection of artificial intelligence with contract law. He holds PhDs in Philosophy (University of California, Riverside) and Law (King's College London), an LLM from Georgetown University, a JD from American University, and a BA from Duquesne University.

His research explores egalitarian theories in financial regulation, the philosophical foundations of contract law (e.g., shared intentionality), and global justice in international economic law.
