Marc Massoud is the Robert A. Day Distinguished Professor of Accounting at Claremont McKenna College’s Robert Day School of Economics and Finance. He holds a Ph.D. and M.B.A. from New York University, along with degrees from Alexandria University, Egypt. His expertise spans accounting, non-profit accounting, banking, cost management, and international accounting.
Education: B. Comm and M. Comm from Alexandria University (Egypt); M.B.A. and Ph.D. from New York University. Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Research focuses on corporate governance, auditing standards, international accounting practices, and ethical dilemmas in financial management. Notable work includes analyzing stock option ethics, auditor rotation mandates, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act implications. His publications emphasize transparency, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Awarded the Huntoon Superior Teaching Award 13 times, underscoring his dedication to education. His articles address global operational risks, M&A cultural audits, and harmonization of European accounting practices.
