معرفی
Marc Bajenoff is a CNRS Research Director and head of the Immunobiology of Stromal Cells team at the Marseille Luminy Immunology Center (CIML). He holds a Chair of Excellence in Biology/Health (2024), a prestigious national award under France 2030, and received an ERC grant in 2015 to study lymphoid stromal cell dynamics. His research focuses on stromal cell immunobiology, their regulation of the immune system, and their interactions with macrophages in health and disease.
Education:
- PhD in Immunology under Dr. S. Guerder at CIML
- Postdoctoral training at Valbonne (France) and NIH (USA) under Professors Glaichenhaus and Germain, specializing in lymphoid tissue stromal cell function via intravital imaging
Research Interests: Exploring how stromal cells and macrophages communicate across tissues, particularly their roles in immune regulation and pathologies like cancer. His NICHE project investigates macrophage niches and their therapeutic potential for diseases involving macrophage dysfunction.
Awards & Grants:
- France 2030 Chair of Excellence (2024): Provides funding for major projects over five years
- ERC Consolidator Grant (2015)
Advising & Labs: Leads the immunobiology of stromal cells lab at CIML, focusing on macrophage-stromal crosstalk. No listed advisees are mentioned in the text.
Labs/Teams: Directs the Immunobiology of Stromal Cells team at CIML, a multidisciplinary group studying immune-tissue interactions.
