معرفی
Manuel Ignacio de Paz Alvarez is a Researcher in the Department of Geology at the University of Oviedo, specializing in Internal Geodynamics. He earned his Doctorate from the University of Oviedo in 2023 with thesis work focused on deformation processes in the Cantabrian nappes of northern Spain.
His research centers on structural analysis of shear zones, fault rock mechanics, and tectonic evolution of thrust systems. Key interests include microstructural characterization of deformation zones, kinematic reconstruction of fold-thrust belts, and rheological behavior of basement-cover interfaces in orogenic settings.
Doctoral supervision was provided by Dr. Juan Luis Alonso Alonso and Dr. Sergio Llana Fúnez, reflecting expertise in Iberian geodynamics and structural geology.
